There are plenty of kinds of uses that you can use with their services including: taking up affiliate marketing (ideally, you will need a website for that anyways, since referral links are not always welcome elsewhere online, such as myspace, facebook, etc), promoting an existing business online (such as Safeway, Blockbuster, etc), building a custom capture page (such as Spider Web Marketing System members), or even developing websites for others and reselling them (for example, you could build a website for say $10 a month and sell it for say $30 a month or more), or even creating your own custom blog (whithout using services like blogspot, wordpress, etc).

The other purpose of GDI: network marketing (or mlm)

Perhaps the real signature service that GDI has to offer is the money making opportunity it has to offer.  All you have to do to earn money with this system is to share it with others (such as visitors to the website you make, friends, coworkers, etc), and whenever they join GDI under you and get a web hosting plan, GDI pays you 10% monthly commissions for each web hosting plan they get (about $1/month per sign up).  In addition the company also offers $100 weekly bonuses for every 5 new customers that sign up under you in a given week, as well as heavy hitter bonuses of $5000 for super affiliates who get 1000 or more signups in a given month.  Besides that, every customer that signs up under you will become your downline and extra commissions are available whenever they get signups as well (which spans 5 levels for 5 times the earnings potiential).  So, the more you and your downline sells, the more money you make with this system.  Also, if you monetize your website, and get buyers, additional streams of income (for example, selling ebooks, and commissions for them range anywhere between 10% and 75% for each ebook you sell (varies by merchant). 

Pros about GDI:

- If you are actively promoting this system and are able to get sales, commissions will start low, but should increase over time as more customers join your network (or your downlines\' network).

- low start up costs.  Compare the $10 you would invest with GDI with many similar programs out there online that may cost you anywhere between $50 and $1000+ to join, depending on company (commissions at those are bigger, but you would have more to lose if you don\'t get immediate results.

- The website you build comes with the membership (they are do it yourself kinds by the way).

- lead generation is not difficult depending on how you promote.

- The 5 level downline system can greatly increase your earnings potiential if utilized to its full potiential.  In idealistic terms, let\'s say you get 10 sign ups (that get a hosting plan), and they likewise get 10 sign ups each (going the full 5 levels), then you would be making at least $110,000 per month (before taxes).

Negative aspects about GDI:  (like all internet marketing opportunities out there, GDI is not for everyone)

- Sign ups can be tricky to get (especially if you are new at this kind of thing).  The key is to brand yourself and give people reasons to join under you over someone else, as well as promoting GDI as a legitimate internet marketing opportunity as opposed to a typical get rich quick scheme.

- GDI does not follow up with leads for you, and so you will need to do it yourself.  Of course, you can simplify this task one of 2 ways: getting an autoresponder service (such as aweber, constant contact, etc), or if you don\'t have the extra cash, you can take advantage of the duplication system at http://www.hits2u.com/?648778 by joining hits2u, entering your GDI info and promoting your referral link to hits2u (which offers free advertising to entice people to join under you).   Whenever you get referrals to hits2u and they become a lead under you at GDI (it also serves alive max, my power mall, and xocai members), hits2u will follow up with your leads for you.  The only downside to hits2u is that your referrals are not obligated to join GDI, and so you might consider upgrading your account.  This way you will get their contact info and you can send invites to them that way (consider creating a custom capture page for hits2u to avoid spam complaints that way).

- Naturally, some downline members you refer will be more active than others.  You might get total n00bs that do not give you results for months, or you might get expert internet marketers (if you are lucky) who know what they are doing and help you to explode your downline.  Ideally, you will not want to rely solely on downline members to promote the system for you. 

- Like many MLMs, GDI does have its\' downsides and there are mixed reviews of it out there (some people may think it is the best system in the world while others may think it is scammy).  The key to success with GDI comes down to these factors: your skill level, your downline\'s skill level, how you promote the system (the more hits you get the more potiential leads you get and potiential sign ups you get), market trends (given the recession we are in, it will be more difficult to promote than normal), and other factors.
